Boys Director Warren Shumate

Warren Shumate, founder of Origin Lacrosse, started Origin in 2011 to encourage the intentional growth of youth lacrosse in our corridor of Massachusetts. He is an experienced clinician and coaches both in the North shore area and nationally.  Coach Warren Shumate joined the Gordon athletic department in July of 2009. In his first season at the helm for the Scots, Shumate was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Coach of the Year for guiding his team to an 8-2 third-place finish in conference.  This is now Shumate's fifth season as head coach and he has big plans for future years to come. 

A 2005 graduate of Gordon, Shumate was a four-year starter and two-year captain in the Fighting Scots' lacrosse program, helping lead his team to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2003. For his standout efforts he was four times selected to the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference team and twice named an ECAC All-New England player. Additionally, he was honored by the College as Gordon's Senior Athlete of the Year following his final season.

Regan Denham

Regan Denham joins the Origin Staff as the new Girl’s Division Director. Coach Denham brings a great depth of knowledge, having coached and played at the Division I and III levels. Currently, the Head Women’s Lacrosse coach at Gordon College she is passionate about helping athletes reach their potential both on and off the field.
